Sunlight seemed to create a fire-for-fire trade here as the strong sidelighting turned the petals into flames, bordered by the green arms with the almost microscopic hairs.
Petal Portraits Notecards are 5” x 7” when folded and include an envelope. The images were made using only natural sunlight with minimal retouching. The cards are printed on paper that is designed to show off the vibrant colors on the outside and have a surface on the inside you can easily write on.
Each card is printed individually by the photographer and inspected prior to packaging and shipment.
It seems Sunflowers are everywhere. I have seen them on a street corner in Phoenix, where they carved out just enough space next to the street to survive. I have seen fields of them in Northern Arizona and Colorado. Their ability to survive almost anywhere is a reminder to us that when we see their commitment to survival, we honor them with a smile. They will have done their job.
